All news- Audit Office Publishes Six Reports on the Establishment of the Network
The Office's first six reports, numbered 2026-01 to 2026-06, examine the transfer of assets, records, staff, premises and contracts from member organisations to the Network during the transition period, and make 24 recommendations.
- Audit Office Publishes Audit Programme for 2026 to 2027
Ten audits will be carried out between October 2026 and September 2027, concluding with the certification of the Network's first accounts for the period from establishment to 31 March 2027.
- Audit Office Adopts Auditing Standards of the Network and Code of Conduct
Six Auditing Standards of the Network, covering independence, planning, evidence, documentation, quality management and reporting, and a Code of Conduct for audit staff take effect from today.
About the Office
The Audit Office of the Velocity Interoperability Network is the independent auditor of the Velocity Interoperability Network. It examines the accounts and administration of every department and network service, reports its findings to the Network Assembly and publishes them for the public.
The Office is headed by the Auditor General, who is appointed by the Assembly for a single term of seven years and may not be directed by any department in the conduct of an audit. Its 48 staff work in four audit directorates.

Forthcoming
First fieldwork and the first accounts
Fieldwork on the first programmed audits begins in October 2026. The Network's first consolidated accounts, for the period to 31 March 2027, will be certified by September 2027.
